Geo
Tor Table
The Geo Tor Table has been designed to be able to quickly search Tor
nodes by a variety of geodata criteria and is updated routinely. The
most common use case for using this table is to assist in building Tor
node lists (i.e. ExitNodes, EntryNodes, ExcludeNodes, ExcludeExitNodes,
etc.) based on specific geodata criteria, such as building a node list
of only one ISP, only nodes within a specific U.S. state, only nodes
inside or outside of the European Union, etc. This offers much greater
granularity and flexibillity to build custom lists based on criteria
other than simply country, which is currently the only geographic level
natively supported by Tor by way of the ISO country codes (i.e. {US}
for US, {CA} for Canada, etc.). Other
use cases may include asisting in the research of the Tor network
itself, among others.
While
Tor nodes are constantly changing, the Geo Tor Table represents only a
snapshot of the Tor nodes present at the time the table is generated.
As with other data on this website, updates to the Geo Tor Table are
tweeted as soon as they are committed to git, so you can keep up with
updates either by following @ScriptTiger
on Twitter or by watching the GitHub repo of this website.
If you are running a Windows operating system, one way to utilize this
table and search Tor exit nodes based on geodata securely and
anonymously offline and instantly build node lists is by downloading Tor-Search
and placing the table into the same directory as the Tor_search script.
As
the table is in CSV format, it can also easily be imported into your
favorite spreadsheet application (i.e. Microsoft Excel, LibreOffice,
OpenOffice, etc.) and be sorted and filtered there by crtieria columns,
as well.
